THANKS for info about B&H camera

A big hearty thank-you to all those who responded so quickly to
my request for information about the B&H 70DL camera. What
happened was this: the development director from a local non-profit
received the camera as part of a donation. Thinking it might be
worth money (call it the eBay syndrome, or the Antiques
Roadshow syndrome), this person called the library to ask about
its value. The GenRef desk didn't know but when they heard
camera they said Oh! That's a question for Special Collections,
and applied that sacred library principle, when in doubt, transfer
out. So the question came to me, and now I've been able to tell
the patron what she probably didn't want to hear, that it's not worth
five grand. Ah well.

Thanks again; in this Grinch-y season it makes me think of my
favorite Dr. S. character, the Cat in the Hat: "I'll bet with my net I
can get those Things yet!"
