Re: [AMIA-L] Information sought for a patron



We have some footage of the construction of Grand Coulee Dam in 1937 with plenty of equipment shown in use, but it is home movie-type, silent, b/w, not official newsreel. Grand Coulee wasn't on her supplied list, but I don't know the nature of the project so perhaps it would fit. There is one color sequence of FDR's motorcade driving to the opening of the Dam. Please have your patron contact me off list if she is interested in more detail.

The newsreel collections could render most of what she looking for (UCLA has Fox Movietone, not sure where the others are but they are certainly locatable), so those should be checked.
