We are talking 3 metre high compactuses - requiring ladder trolleys moving in
and out - so a flat floor surface is essential.

Well, how terrible are the tracks for the shelving system? Might it not
be cheaper, and better, to just mount them atop the concrete and train
archivists to step over them? Or are there governmental safety rules
that prohibit this?
