Re: [AMIA-L] Stand Alone DVD Burner Recommendations

Hi, I too am shopping for a stand alone DVD burner to make reference copies of our DVCams.  Has anyone tried to dub over time code or make a window burn as they make a copy?

Thanks, Dale Stieber

I purchase my Panasonic Model DMR-HS2 in November 2002 for $1,000.00.  It is no longer available, having been replaced by good cheaper models with fewer features.
I had planned to buy a Phillips machine, but changed my mind when Panasonic announced the DMR-HS2 was available.  I chose Panasonic largely because of local service.  At the time there was a compatabily problem - Panasonic is a "dash" machine (DVD-RAM, DVD-R), where Phillips is a "plus" machine.  Like VHS, this problem no longer exists.
