Re: [AMIA-L] bunuel question

About the mexican negatives of Buñuel. Take contact with Francisco Galan in film archive of the Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). He is responsible for the restoration of "LOS OLVIDADOS", and he knows the location of the whole materials that Buñuel filmed there gaytanp@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx If not take contact with Iván Trujillo trujillo@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Subject: [AMIA-L] bunuel question

Howdy all -

Just something I've been wondering. Does anyone know if the materials
(esp. original negs) from Bunuel's substantial Mexican output are held
in Mexican archives? Has any preservation beendone, aside from Los
Olvidados?

So much focus has for years been placed on his later French output that
everybody forgets how many amazing movies this guy made throughout his
entire career, especially a number of the low-budget Mexican
productions.... El, El Bruto, The Young One, Ensayo de un crimen, etc.

thanks much,

Mark
