How true,
I've seen this more with 16mm elements than 35mm. Particularly with 16mm being
shipped from overseas and if it is left in the can with the composite print,
they will interact. That said, I've also seen 16mm from Japan that was packed
so well that interaction was nearly eliminated. The elements were packed in a
foil lined sleeve that protected the print but prevented the mag from out
gassing so the mag would be in worse shape than the composite print.
