The Hollywood Reporter also has an online story (as did Variety, posted here via Nan Rubin).
The HR headline: "AMPAS: Archive before its too late."

Both stories get into the economics of archiving film and digital master material... with Variety using a running minute method.

The HR used "per title" to compare:

"Economics also is outlined in the report, which suggests that the annual cost of preserving film archival master material is $1,059 per title, and the cost of preserving a 4K digital master is $12,514. The report states, "The annual preservation costs for a complete set of digital motion picture source materials also are substantially higher than those for film, and all digital asset storage requires significant and perpetual spending to maintain accessibility."

When the report's out, we'll be able to see HOW the 4K master materials were preserved... on active RAID storage, off-line tape or some other means.

Absent that, one one wonders if producers will be thinking "filmout" more often?
