AV Trust Travel Assistance Program - Submission Call
The AV Trust has applied for financial support from the Department of Canadian Heritage to further enhance the professional skills of Canadian audio-visual archivists. To this end, the AV Trust is offering grants to help defray the travel and/or registration costs (up to a maximum of $1000 CDN) of Canadian-based archivists who apply through a Canadian non-profit organization wishing to participate in the next Association of Moving Image Archivists (AMIA) conference, scheduled to take place in Savannah, Georgia November 12-15, 2008. This annual conference will provide training forums, workshops and similar learning opportunities focusing on the preservation and conservation of audio-visual materials.

Le Trust AV a déposé une demande de soutien financier auprès du ministère du Patrimoine canadien pour voir au perfectionnement professionnel des archivistes de l'audiovisuel. À cette fin, le Trust AV offre des subventions de voyage (jusqu'à concurrence de 1000 $ CAN) aux archivistes canadiens habitant au Canada ayant appliqué par l'entremise d'un organisme sans but lucratif canadien à la prochaine conférence de l'Association of Moving Image Archivist (AMIA) qui se tiendra du 12 au 15 novembre 2008 à Savannah, Georgia. Cette conférence annuelle comportera des forums de formation, des ateliers et d'autres possibilités d'apprentissage axées sur la préservation et la conservation de documents audiovisuels.
