Hello Barbara & all:
I usually back my cloth with Japanese paper using paste or PVA/methyl
cellulose or a 1/3 mixture of PVA/paste/mc...but I've been told by TWO
conservators that the iron-on fabric backing works quite well, so it MUST be
true.
