Yes, they are -ALL- extremely expensive to operate. In an
Epson, you only get one set of print heads .. built into
the machine. Be VERY careful with refilled cart's on these
machines. :-)
If you're investigating the ribbon-ink printers (ALPS, etc.)
please look carefully at sample output .. the slight 'banding'
may bother you.
I use an HP Photosmart almost daily and it's proven to be
kinda' sorta' reliable. Still awfully expen$ive to feed,
however. :-)
