Re: [BKARTS] LP Record Cleaning
I regularly simply wash them under gently running water, using a very mild
detergent and wiping while wet, with a soft damp cloth parallel to the
grooves, around the thing, then drying them on a clean dishtowel. To keep
them playing well after that, they should be sprayed with a cleaner
specifically formulated for cleaning acrylic or plastics. It leaves a
light, silicone layer on the record which makes them play better.

Subject: LP Record Cleaning
I know that this is not exactly a book problem. However, could a media
coservationist have any advice on cleaning LP that have been sitting around
for years before playing them.
