[BKARTS] Lafayette College Exhibit, Easton PA
*JAFFE BOOKS ON AUTUMNAL HOLIDAY*
"Ex Libris: Artists' Books from the Arthur and Mata Jaffe Collection" is
currently on exhibit at the Williams Center Gallery at Lafayette College in
Easton, Pennsylvania. Through October 23, 2005.
My apologies if news of this exhibit has been posted by the folks at
Lafayette, but I don't think it has been. Some of the Jaffe Collection's
most highly prized books are there--many of them one-of-a-kinds. It's a
rare opportunity for those of you in the Northeast to view books from the
Jaffe Collection without traveling to the Florida peninsula.
The exhibition is presented in conjunction with the Roethke Humanities
Festival, "The Book Re-Visioned: Crossroads of Traditions and
Technologies." Johanna Drucker presents a lecture, "Open Ended
Possibilities: The Future of the Book in the Digital Age," on Thursday,
October 6, as part of the exhibit programming. And Arthur Jaffe will
deliver an informal gallery talk on Wednesday, October 5.
Details on all events may be found at the Williams Gallery website:

Questions regarding the exhibit (gallery hours, for instance) or programs
(locations and times) should be directed to the Williams Gallery:
