Thank you. I did not know this, (or had forgotten, which is basicly the same
thing) and feel as though I should have known.
The bois d'arc is native to north Texas, and the fruit is readily available
here.

In Ohio we use Osage Oranges to repell spiders. They do go bad after a
while. I never heard of using horsechestnuts..
I used to have a cat who killed every spider and flying insect she came
across. I do miss her so.
