The Los Angeles Book Arts Center is  pleased to present the Post Book as 
taught by  Charlene Matthew on Sunday,  November 19

Charlene Matthews 
A post book is a versatile book  structure that uses screw posts to hold the 
pages, enabling the user to change  the pages on a whim.  Used by 
photographers as portfolios, it also can be  used to house correspondence and original art 
work.  Participants will make  a simple structure, discuss more complex 
structures, and learn how to hinge art  work and photographs for a more elegant 
look and ease of page turning.   Blank pages will be provided, but participants 
are encouraged to bring their own  photographs and art work.  Books will be 
covered with cloth, but individual  collage and debossing on the Kwikprint will 
be  encouraged.
