[BKARTS] Fine Binding Catalog available, exhibition opens at Michigan State University March 23-June 1
The Book of Origins: A Survey of American Fine Binding traveling
exhibition features twenty contemporary fine bindings by ten American
binders. The group includes established masters as well as gifted
emerging artists. Two works are presented by each binder; their binding
in response to the set Book of Origins text, and an additional example
of their work.
A 32 page, full color catalog of this exhibition is now available.
Designed by Julia Leonard, designer of the Guild of Book Workers 100th
Anniversary Exhibition catalog, it depicts all 20 works, plus binding
descriptions and biographical statements by each binder. Order
