Subject: Grolier Club Exhibit
There is a wonderful exhibit at the Grolier Club in NYC through April 28
that I strongly recommend seeing if you are in the area. It's called
Illustrating the Good Life: The Pissarros' Eragny Press, 1894-1914. Filled
with beautiful printing and bindings, it's a delight to see. Lucien Pissarro
was a wood engraver and son of one of the founders of French Impression.
Lucien, together with his wife Ester, began their press in England and
produced some beautiful books which strongly reflect the influence of the
Arts and Crafts Movement. For further information on the exhibit and the
club hours go to the Grolier Club website.
