On second thought that was pretty interesting (i.e. discussion of wood,
minus the asides.)  So keep me on for now, only can't this be reigned in
a bit?  Thanks.

I do have an addition to the metal argument.  Michael Conolly from the
Indianapolis Museum of Art has a horror story about metal cabinet
finishes and the corrosion of metals stored in the new cabinets.  The
uncured resin did a real number on the objects!!
