Cigarette smoke as a preservation concern

Is there any current information on cigarette smoke as a preservation
concern? The problems of secondary smoke to people is fairly well
documented. Does similar documentation exist on the preservation
problems it causes with library materials?  Any info would be
appreciated. Thanks
