Salaries

Re the posting for a preservation librarian at Utah:  am I alone in
considering that offering $27,000 is an embarrassment when what is asked
for is a graduate degree in a professional field, experience in
substance and in supervision, and knowledge of a highly technical area
with responsibility for the care of works of major value?
