Adhering polyester film to paper

Responding to Mark Vine & Pete Jermann's postings on adhering Mylar to
paper:

In my context I have only used Mylar or Melinex Type D. If you prefer
PVA, try lightly sanding one side of the Mylar (sand it evenly and well
without breaking the surface through), then try adhering it to your
paper or board or whatever.
