Mummified moa

I have recently been given the task of drying out a mummified moa's
head which has been soaking in an alcohol/glycerine mixture for some
years.  The client would like the head to look exactly as it did
before it was put into the solution.

Can anybody suggest a good contact for  help with this problem?   It
has already been discussed on a Natural History list.  No one who
replied seemed to have had experience with the removal of glycerine
or the rehydration of mummified tissue in general.
