Adhesive in photo album

I'm currently working on a paper conservation project
and analysis on a photographic album dated after
1970's. Trying to investigate the glue used between
the pages of the photographic album through GCMS or
even FTIR. I'm trying to gather information on the
glues that were used. I would appreciate any useful
information on this concept from whoever have
previously worked at this area.
