Wood borer infestation

How large is large? A tent/bubble/envelope for anoxic treatment
using carbon dioxide or nitrogen could be set up in situ. By using
an envelope made of transparent film the object could be left on
display whilst being treated. With an explanation posted, this might
be an interesting process for the general public.
