Re: Barcoding in Special Collections

Our materials do not circulate so we don't have to have them barcoded like the
rest of our library collections. Our rare books get cataloged and the call
number information and the library's book accession number is typed on a slip
of paper which is slipped into the book by our catalog department. When we get
the book we remove the slip, file it away, and type the call number on an acid
neutral book mark. If you _had_ to have a barcode with the book, I would put
it on the book mark where it would not touch the book.
