Barcoding - variations on a theme

We attach a "locket" carrying a call number label on one side and a barcode
on the other to a non-acidic, cotton ribbon which is then laid in each book.
The ribbon is cut slightly longer than the height of the book so that the
"locket" hangs outside over the spine of the book for easy reading.
