Last Spring the Hope College Library received an original King
James "she" Bible for its rare book collection. The Joint Archives of
Holland shares a reading room with the collection and the archivists
facilitate access to the book collection (on another matter they are not
barcoded and we use acid free slips that stick out of the volumes).
The King James was given to us by a alumni that collects books.
After obtaining two damaged volumes he hired a conservator to clean,
repair etc and form the two incomplete books created on complete,
handsomly bound Bible.
In the event of partial books it would be wonderful if this
could be the result rather than going the Audubon route of framing
individual pages (certain people tend to drool over our bird book).
