I agree with you concerning the shortcomings of Identa-strips. Certainly
the tab should never be used, because it chews up the page to which it
is attached.

But I am curious about your statement concerning multiple slips in
bound-with's. Do you type up an informational slip for every item
in, say, a bound volume of pamphlets? I'd be interested to hear
how you keep them from straying -- we have enough problems keeping
track of our single strips, which generally contain only the call number
(for the first piece) on the recto and the barcode on the verso.
