The invitations to the annual meeting of the Bibliographical Society of
America were sent out bulk mail, and many of them seem only just
arriving (I got mine yesterday, as did a friend of mine in Urbana). The
meeting, which is open to all who wish to attend, will be on Friday, 24
January, at the CUNY Graduate Center Auditorium, 33 West 42nd Street,
beginning at 4:30 pm. There will be the usual business, followed by a
Presidential address by Ruth Mortimer. Reception to follow.
On Saturday, January 25th, at 2 pm in the Trustees Room of the
NYPL (across the street from the CUNY Graduate Center) will be the
annual meeting of the American Printing History Assn, also open to
interested persons; again, reception immediately following.
