To Zane Clark, who has been reading EXLIBRIS for "a week", stick around
a few more weeks and you may grasp the problem. I have the fastest
delete button in the West, but a few more days of cleaning the clutter of
inappropriate queries and I for one will be putting the NO MAIL on
permanently. I grant you, however, that newcomers will not necessarily
know that there IS--or was--a focus, or what is being lost as the
listserv becomes an open bulletin board to accommodate any query, rather
than remain primarily an avenue for communication for professional
librarians working in the rare books and mss racket.
