As one who does not slop from the public trough (read:taxpayers pay for the
net) and must pay $0.15 out of pocket for each Internet message received, I
appreciate the effort which Walter Henry puts into ConsDist List. The
messages are organized and downloaded as a single file. Try to examine
the archives as I must (and read the messages: exceeds your quota of quanta
[I paraphrase, but that is the message]). For me, and those like me, who
access Internet through the backdoor (which may amuse some of you) the value
of the net/s is communication. If it is sometimes awkward, or offensive,
that is price which I am willing to pay.
Walter Henry puts an enormous amount of energy into making the archives
(and lists/logs) available. I appreciate it and wish that the list
owners of the other lists to which I subscribe would do as well.
If Walter wishes to take a vacation, I wish him Godspeed, and look forward
to his safe return.
P.S. this was not a flame.
