Few clients have as yet chosen to communicate with us via Email, the
ubiquitous fax machine being a far more popular means of delivering
written messages for institutional and private customers alike. It
seems, too, that Email has yet to catch on outside the academic
community, no doubt due partly to its (unsubsidized) cost. Although we
have the capability to send offers--indeed, entire catalogs--from our
microcomputers to clients via Email, no customer has requested this
service. And there are as yet no compelling reasons--financial or
otherwise--for us actively to promote such a service.
