When calculating replacement costs, for insurance purposes, do
not overlook the costs of cataloging and other technical processes,
all of which would have to be redone if one was forced to rebuild
the collection (or just replace those parts stolen, damaged, or
destroyed). This could be an average cost, as well.
For ARCHIVES subscribers, this is another situation where estimates
of processing times becomes useful.
