Catching up with Thompson and his flame

After days of not dipping into the font of knowledge, I began to read
Exlibris, and there it was, Mr. Thompson's lofty message!
WOW! (there's a palindrome for you). How lonely it must be at the top of the
mountain! Do his feet touch ground? Dare we address such erudition, such
SINGURLAR dedication to scholarship? Dare we breathe the same air, gaze at
the same sky, walk the same earth? Utter his name? Well, at least we
now know what it's like to be so perfect and so wise. Oh the pain of it all.
Poor, poor Mr. Thompson, what a hard life he leads. Imagine having to
deal with soooo much incompetence - all of it on the part of librarians!
Now, what was it he said about regurgitation? And by whom? Let's just
serve him up for breakfast!
Of course all disclaimers apply!
