I want to thank all of you who responded so constructively to my ESTC
grump. As a result the problem is now a lot clearer to me. I well
understand that we librarians can get into the ESTC with relative ease, nor
to my mind are per search charges a problem. The real issue is direct and
reasonably-priced access for non-librarian scholars, i.e. faculty,
students, and the general public in non-RLIN colleges and universities and
beyond. Does any one have any suggestions?
