The Foundation for Historic Christ Church is searching for the first
vestry book for Christ Church, Lancaster County, Virginia, which was
last seen about 1840. The entries in this book begin 23 September
1665 and continue through 8 February 1759. When last known, it was
among the books that had belonged to Rev. David Currie who had been
rector of Christ Church, Lancaster County, Virginia from 1743 to 1792.
