OCLC may now be accessed from the Internet, as described in OCLC Technical
Bulletin 203, "OCLC Internet Acess." One may get into the OCLC database
using either OCLC's software or a commerically available communications
program.
Following the instructions in the publication, I successfully logged on to
the system using QL2FAX, configured to emulate a VT 100 terminal.
Bulletin 203 is available as an ASCII file. Send a message to
listproc@oclc.org and put in the message get tb/txt 203.txt. I assume this
available only to OCLC clients.
