Waldemar Fries did much of the work on his census in the library of the
Providence Athenaeum, and his notes and correspondence relating to the
census art now there. The Providence Athenaeum, incidentally, is now in
the process of compiling a catalog of a selection of its early books on
natural history. Woops, I meant to type "census are now there." From
