Richard, We keep registration sheets in perpetuity (at least for now--I may
have        a different view if we are drowning in them 10 yrs hence!).
Call slips are kept for 5 yrs.  These have proved to be singularly
unhelpful when we've attempted to search them in the past, though we do try
to keep them in order.  Some people are for keeping them forever, I know,
but I just can't see it given our circ volume.
