I, too, liked the idea of the magnetic closures and was
getting ready to order magnetic tape. However, I was
informed that the magnets can, indeed, destroy data on a
disk. There's too high a risk of a patron inadvertently
putting a floppy disk next to the magnet and wiping out the
data.
