Re: Duplicates sales II / donations



As chance works! I had just send my first contribution to this, when I 
came to our director who had just accepted another donation (it was 
'fitting'). If I hadn't passed by instantly, he would have selected the
duplicates, to throw them away, I suppose. I had just the time to 
convince him to keep it as a whole and completely. Okay, it is only a small 
collection of about a dozen printed books of 19th and 20th c. But already 
accepted as it was, it would have hurt me to separate out any single 
item. But what would have happened and what happens still, if I hadn't had
the chance to see it?
Perhaps, a small advice to collectors might help a little: if you intend 
to give anything to libraries (for use, not for the dusts), look if it 
'fits'! Then, they pay attention :-) !
