Duplicate sale thread and FAQ

I've urged before that some energetic person take on the task of providing an
FAQ to questions in our area to help the literally thousands of people a
month who are casually dropping by.  The recent thread on duplicate sales,
one of the most interesting in some time, prompts me to suggest that a link
from that FAQ could be to a text file containing the whole of the recent
correspondence, giving potential donors a good sense of the variant attitudes
around and the reasoning behind why libraries act as they do.  --pg
