We are going to be storing about 50,0000 titles off site for a period
of three years. Age of material runs from mid ninteenth century to the
present, so I imagine the acid content will also vary a great
deal. The storage facility will be cool and dry, but without any
sophisticated environmental controls.
We are going to have to purchase several thousand containers, and
ship the books across country ( probably by rail freight ) and I
would be interested in getting suggestions as to what would be a low
cost yet book friendly box.
