PRIVATE OR PERSONAL LIBRARIES

I am busy with my Ph.D research in Library and Information
Science. The subject of my study is the PERSONAL BOOK/LIBRARY 
COLLECTION of the Afrikaans poet and philosopher 
N.P. van Wyk Louw.

The purpose of my study is to describe, analize
and publicise his PERSONAL BOOK COLLECTION (10,000 items).

I am looking for information or studies on:

1.  The research value of Personal libraries?
2.  How to describe Personal libraries?
3.  How to analize Personal libraries?
4.  How to anotate marginalia in an anotatted bibliography?
5.  Methods of publicising Personal Book Collections?

As well as e-mail adresses of students/bibliographers that are
involved in similar study/work, or any other usefull information.
