Dear Ms. Butz,
I'm sure that you'll hear from several people, so I hope my response
isn't too repetitive, but I'm happy to tell you that there are a couple
rare-books/manuscripts/maps groups in the D.C. area.
The Washington Rare Book Group has a membership of over 100,
including librarians from most of the major government, university, and
research libraries in the area, conservators, dealers, collectors,
historians, and academics.
Dr. Blanche Ebeling-Koning currently serves as Chair of the Group and
can be reached by phone during work hours at (202) 319-5050; also
e-mail: marnixA@aol.com .
Melanie Gardner, Treasurer, maintains our membership list and can be
reached during the day at (301) 504-5181; e-mail:
mgardner@nal.usda.gov .
Please let me know if you need additional information.
The exhibition sounds very interesting - I'll hope to see it while it's here.
Best wishes,
Leslie Overstreet
