OBS

Forwarded on behalf of David Thomas, Hon. Treasurer of the
Oxford Bibliographical Society

Mark Purcell

OBSolete? What us? Never! The OXFORD BIBLIOGRAPHICAL SOCIETY is alive
and in your midst! Are you interested in book history? Would you like to
know more about the Bodleian incunable project? Or broadside ballads? Or
the estate maps of Merton College? Then this is the place for you. A
guided visit to Hereford Cathedral Library? It's already booked. Looking
for an attractive Christmas present? How about "Arks for Learning", a
lavishly illustrated history of library buildings in Oxford, a snip at 15
pounds. Come, ye bOBSleigh enthusiasts, lOBSter-fanciers, readers of the
OBServer, come and join us! Frank DOBSon doesn't belong but you could!
Every new member can have a free OP and you will receive a free copy of
anything we publish during your membership. Don't know what to do? Get
in touch with David Thomas, the Society's Hon. ('We are not nOBS')
Treasurer at the Taylor Institution Library in St Giles, where most of our
meetings are held. The annual membership is 20 pounds and the first
meeting this term will be held in the Taylorian on October 29th at 5.30
p.m. That's when you can find out all about the Bodleian incunable project
and you will find full details of our programme at

      http://users.ox.ac.uk/~pemb0049/bklist.html#oxbibsoc

Oh, worried about that OP? It's an Occasional Publication, of course.
And you won't have to wait for it...
