dear exlibrians,
I read exlibris since june 99 (except the
well-known disconnection that happened to some of us). I found particularly
interesting the mixing of librarians, booksellers and bibliophiles with a
special thought for Seraphine Ducasse ... (where is she now
?!...).
I have discovered the list through an information given by " Les Nouvelles du
livre ancien " published by the highly commercial people from " La Bibliotheque
Mazarine ". A very insufficient knowledge of English prevents me from
writing often but what I read is frequently of high interest and I have
contacts with distant people I would never have met in my remote
Burgundy.
Preparing a small catalogue of books related to
Law, Economics and Social Sciences (1580-1830) I was thinking of a commercial
post to the list, and THEN the ukase came !...
I shall post it, separatly anyway, and hope that
the moderator will not fire definitly one of his french
exlibrians...
I unluckily the list was self destroying I would
like to be told where the phoenix would reborn again.
best regards to all.
