Special Collections Librarian, #435. Primary responsibility
for management of Special Collections department within overall framework of
the Butler University Libraries' mission. Duties include implementation
and/or development of policies and procedures appropriate to the department,
supervision of staff, collection development, organization, and maintenance
of all special collections. Serve as library liaison to one or more
academic departments. Serve on the libraries' Instruction Team and the
libraries' Automation Team. MLS degree from ALA accredited graduate
library school and a minimum of three years post MLS special
collections/rare books library experience is required. Sound bibliographic
and pedagogical skills and organizational, communication, instructional, and
supervisory ability required. Minimum salary $35,000 with excellent
