Now I may be a simple country bookseller; but I do find it mighty odd that
our Moderator sends us job-postings that would be illegal in the United
States (eg, for a "Roman Catholic" paper-conservator, 16 February), and yet
he quails at the very whiff of lucre.
Fred Schreiber's contributions to this list have been, for me, its chief
