F.C.B = Illustrator information Sought

Please excuse cross-posting

I'm wondering whether anyone in this forum can help, including booksellers.

I'm working on an exhibition for a print/illustration exhibition and would
like to include one from Christopher Ward's "Saga of Capt'n John Smith."
New York/London: Harper & Brothers, 1928. The illustrator is identified
only as F.C.B.

Several searches through OCLC Worldcat, RLIN, NUC, LC, and the OCLC
authority file amongst others have turned up nothing. There was an F.C.B in
the OCLC authority file, one Mrs. Frances C. Barnard, but the date they
have associated with her is 1836, an unlikely match, especially with titles
such as "Embroidered Facts," or "The Work-bag."

The illustrations appear to be woodcuts, with strong deco elements on some,
and a certain playfulness (Pocahontas as cow girl with whip and pistol).

Feel free to respond to me directly.

Thank you,

Peter Verheyen
