Los Angeles area book people who are not members of the Book Collectors of
Los Angeles are welcomed at meetings. The next meeting is April 26 at 6:30
P.M. at Taix French Restaurant, 1911 West Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles. The
speaker, William J. Warren, President of the California Map Society, will
use slides and examples of antique maps to explicate this fascinating area
of collecting. The focus of his talk will be on maps of Western America
that show California as an island. Bill will also bring examples of
reference books about maps and map collecting.
The menu is steak or salmon and includes soup, salad, desert, and wine for
